How do I access the Petals Affiliate Program Website?


When you become a Petals Partner or a member of the Petals Affiliate Program, you will be issued with a Member Number and Password. You will need these details to login to Petals Members' website (www.petalsnet.com/affiliates.htm) to send orders, track orders, to access relevant information or to check your sales data.

How do I send my orders?


The way that you send orders to Petals Network depends upon the Affiliate Option that you select when becoming a Partner or a Member of the Petals Affiliate Program. Orders from Option 1 Affiliates will arrive at Petals via our own systems. Orders from Option 2 Affiliates will arrive at Petals via the Affiliate's own systems. Option 2 Affiliates are able to send orders to Petals in 2 ways: online via our Ordering Website or via XML feed. Please also refer to the Petals Terms and Conditions for more information on order placements and regulations.

To send orders, click on the 'send orders' option once you've logged into www.petalsnet.com/affiliates.htm If you've supplied your credit card details to Petals to be charged for each of your purchases OR you're already on an account with Petals, please click on the 'Account Order' option. If you enter your credit card details each time you place an order with Petals, please click on the 'Credit Card Order' option.

How do I price the products that I use?


The way that you price your products depends upon the Affiliate Option that you select when becoming a Member of the Petals Affiliate Program. Option 1 Affiliates don't need to price products as customers will be using Petals product pages through the link on your site (unless you're using an 'order page' link). Option 2 Affiliates will need to keep all product prices up-to-date with Petals Network minimum prices. You'll find the Pricing Spreadsheet (which is updated each time there is a change) under the 'Setup' menu once you've logged into www.petalsnet.com/affiliates.htm

Please note that it is the responsibility of Option 2 Affiliates/Option 1 'order page' link Affiliates to update all pricing on their own catalogue if prices are increased for special occasions such as Valentine's Day OR if they are permanently changed. Affiliates will be notified via the e-mail address provided to Petals by the Affiliate of any price changes.

Want to find out the amount of commission you'll receive for your orders? Please refer to your Petals Order Spreadsheet (under 'Reports'). The 'flowers' column shows the flower value of the order that you have placed. It is this amount that your commission is paid on. Please note that this spreadsheet is not always 100% accurate (eg: may include cancelled orders).

How am I able to use Petals Network images on my site?


As a Member of the Petals Affiliate Program, Petals allows you to use Petals Network's floral imagery and trademarks on your web site and public material providing copyright is acknowledged wherever the materials are used. You may also create your own banners or advertising material using the Petals logo. Note that Petals Affiliates are able to send orders collected from non-Petals Network images, as long as a comprehensive product description is included in the order. In the event the business arrangement ceases, the Petals Affiliate must agree to remove all materials from websites within 1 week, to cease using materials with the Petals Logo and other references to Petals, to not reprint any other material that uses Petals Network's images or to misrepresent that Petals is the floral relay service being used.

How are my transactions tracked?


Petals uses a unique member number to track all orders of Option 1 Affiliates. This means when a user clicks on our banner on your site, the user picks up your member number and when the user places an order, the member number is then transmitted with that order. See also linking to Petals for more information on how this system works. Option 2 Affiliates have total control over the orders that they place with Petals. When orders are placed with Petals, a Member Number will always be included in the order, regardless of the selected ordering method. You can also use our daily Order and Hit Counter Spreadsheets to monitor your sales (see How can I track my sales? for more information).

How do I get paid for my sales?


Account and commission options will be negotiated with potential Partners and Affiliates on an individual basis, depending on the order volume and the method of order transmission. There are various commission or discount options available for Partners or Members of the Petals Affiliate Program. You can either earn a commission on every sale that your users/employees/members generate, or, you can pass on a discount on Petals products to your users/employees/members and make no commission on the sale.

How can I track my sales?


You are able to find out what your customers are buying, how much they are purchasing, and how often they are buying through your Petals Order Spreadsheet. If you are an Option 1 Affiliate, you can also measure your click to sales ratios through your Petals Hit Counter Spreadsheet. These spreadsheets are in an excel format, which means that once you've saved your files, you can manipulate the data in any way that you wish.

You'll need to login to www.petalsnet.com/affiliates.htm to view your spreadsheet/s. Click on the spreadsheet links listed under 'Reports'.

Can I change the way I link to Petals or change my banner design? (for Option 1 Affiliates)


Your link to Petals can be in the form of a banner, an image of a Petals product, or a 'buy now' button which will take your customer straight to the ordering page for the product they have selected. Click here to read more about linking to Petals Network to collect your orders. Note that you are welcome to design your own banner using the Petals images.
